Privacy Policy

01Who we are

Twicely is operated by Viktoriia Lipskaia, a sole trader (self-employed) registered in the Republic of Cyprus, at Anafis 9, 6014 Larnaca, Cyprus. We are the controller of your personal data. For any privacy question, email hello@twicely.ai.

This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit twicely.ai or use the Twicely app.

02What we collect

Account data

Your name, email address and profile photo from Google sign-in, or your email address if you sign up with email. Your time zone and language settings.

Data from Instagram

When you connect an Instagram professional account: your Instagram user ID, username, account type and profile photo; your media, including reels, captions, timestamps, links, thumbnails and video files; and basic metrics Instagram provides for your posts, such as like and comment counts.

We use video files only to transcribe the audio, and we delete them right after.

Data from Threads

When you connect Threads: your Threads user ID, username and profile photo; posts and replies you publish or schedule through Twicely; metrics for your posts, such as views, likes, replies and reposts, when you use features that show them; and public posts that match topics you choose, when you use reply suggestions.

Content we create with you

Transcripts of your reels, drafts, your edits, scheduled posts, and the styles and settings you choose.

Payment data

Our payment provider processes your payments. We receive your name, email, country, plan and payment status, and may receive your card brand and the last four digits of your card. We never receive your full card number.

Support messages

What you send us through live chat or email.

Usage and device data

Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, actions in the app, and error logs. Our website also uses cookies, described below.

03How we use your data

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we need a legal basis for each use. Here is what we do and why.

04What we never do

• Sell or rent your personal data.
• Publish anything without your action.
• Read your direct messages. We don't ask for access to them.
• Use your content in our marketing without your permission.
• Let our AI providers train their models on your content.

05Data from Instagram and Threads

We access Instagram and Threads only through Meta's official APIs and only with your permission. We use this data only to provide the features you use, in line with Meta's Platform Terms. We don't sell it, share it with data brokers, or use it to build advertising profiles.

You can remove Twicely's access at any time in your Instagram or Threads settings under Website permissions → Apps and websites, or disconnect inside Twicely. Removing access stops new data from coming in. To delete the data we already have, see Delete your data below.

06Who we share data with

We use service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes below:

• Cloud hosting and database providers, to run the Service.
• AI providers, to transcribe reels and draft posts.
• Our payment provider, to process payments and handle taxes.
• Email and live chat providers, to talk to you.
• Analytics and advertising providers, such as Google and Meta, on our website only, and only if you accept those cookies.

We also share data:

• with Meta, when you tell us to publish to Threads;
• with public authorities, when the law requires it;
• with a buyer or successor, if Twicely is sold or merged. We'll tell you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

07International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. When they do, we rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• give you access to your data;
• send you a copy in a portable format;
• correct it;
• delete it;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• withdraw a consent you gave earlier. This doesn't affect what we did before.

Email hello@twicely.ai from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days.

If you're in the EU or EEA, you can also complain to the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus or to your local data protection authority.

US residents

Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know, access, correct and delete their personal data, and to opt out of its “sale” or “sharing” for targeted advertising.

We don't sell personal data. Advertising cookies on our website may count as “sharing” under some state laws. You can opt out by rejecting them in our cookie banner or by emailing us. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.

10Delete your data

You can delete your Twicely account and all the data we hold about you at any time.

1. Email hello@twicely.ai from the email address on your Twicely account, with the subject “Delete my data”. If you don't remember that address, include your Instagram or Threads username.
2. We confirm your request within 2 business days.
3. We delete your data within 30 days, usually much sooner, and email you when it's done.

What we delete

Your account and profile, access tokens for Instagram and Threads, all data we brought in from them, transcripts, drafts, scheduled posts, settings and support conversations.

What stays

• Posts you've already published on Threads. They live on your Threads account. Delete them in Threads if you want them gone.
• Billing records that tax law requires us to keep, usually for 6 years.
• Backups, which are cleared within a further 30 days.

Remove our access on Instagram and Threads

This stops new data from reaching us right away. It doesn't delete the data we already have, so send the email above as well.

• Instagram: Settings and activity → Website permissions → Apps and websites, then remove Twicely.
• Threads: Settings → Account → Website permissions, then remove Twicely.

11Cookies

Our website uses three kinds of cookies:

You choose in the cookie banner on your first visit. To change your choice later, clear cookies for twicely.ai in your browser and the banner will appear again.

12Security

We use HTTPS for all traffic, store access tokens securely, limit who can access our production systems, and choose providers with strong security practices. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

13Children

Twicely is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we'll delete it.

14Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change is material, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
